The Kiss
by Paul Raworth Bennett
When you’re nearby you spark in me desire
A primal urge to have our bodies meet
So we might make a lengthy moment sweet
Let’s join our mouths and set ourselves on fire
So let us both draw near and close the space
I long to hold your silken body tight
And hug ’til day turns into starry night
Our bodies melted in a snug embrace
Allow me to just taste your lovely lips
And with my knowing hands caress your hair
Or stroke your graceful back and comely hips
And after I’ve explored your gorgeous mouth
Let’s pause to take a breath and lock our eyes
And start a slow unzipping in the South
~ Paul Raworth Bennett
