My 19-Part Resolution for 2019

Next year, I will…

1. Give at least 1,000 hugs, commit countless other random acts of kindness, and bring love to every interaction

2. Honor, respect and acknowledge both myself and everyone I encounter

3. Listen more carefully and communicate more thoughtfully

4. Poke fun at myself and litter my world with laughter and smiles

5. Ask for help, give it freely, and share my “ah-hah!” moments

6. Love, especially, my elderly dog and parents

7. Prepare all of my heart, mind, and body to finally meet – and fully engage with – a new intimate partner (that’s my “lucky 7”!)

8. Embody the power of the “Serenity Prayer” and the “The 7 Habits

9. Meditate, and practise yoga, every day for at least 10 minutes

10. Read at least 25 books and start writing one of my own

11. Hone my professional skills, become a thought leader, and focus relentlessly on helping my clients and colleagues to thrive

12. Sharpen the tools in my creative writer’s kit… and only use my talents, in general, for unselfish purposes

13. Go to bed at the same time each night and divorce my alarm clock

14. Eat responsibly, slowly, and mindfully

15. Work out at least 3 times each week

16. Do lots more biking, hiking, backpacking, watercoloring, photography and piano-playing

17. Start traveling again

18. Keep moving, in general

19. Nurture – and take big, bold steps towards – my dreams
